What is the Business Society?

The goal of La Jolla Music Society’s Business Society is to build mutually beneficial relationships with businesses in our community. By supporting LJMS through cash or trade agreements, Business Society members receive a unique set of benefits such as recognition as a Business Society Member and complimentary advertising in La Jolla Music Society’s program book, placement on our Preferred Merchants list, complimentary tickets to performances and invitations to Major Donor Events.

What’s the difference between advertising and Business Society membership?

Unlike traditional advertising, the Business Society provides opportunities to integrate its members into La Jolla Music Society. As we build our calendar of more than 70 social events throughout the year, we prioritize our Business Society partners to include them whenever we can. By bringing our events to your restaurant, having our partnering florist provide flowers for our Galas or promoting your business by offering incentives to our patrons, we offer and encourage a mutual support of your business. We want our audience to know who you are and we connect the dots to make that happen.

Who can join the Business Society?

With a program book that reaches more than 29,000 audience members, every business can find value in joining our Business Society. Our performances are presented at eight different venues, attracting audience members from all around San Diego County. Because we guarantee a mutually beneficial relationship, we are also able to customize a set of benefits that are relevant to your business.

My business doesn’t really seem to have a viable trade to offer LJMS. How can I be involved?

If the service or product your company offers doesn’t seem like a viable trade for our organization, there are still many ways to support La Jolla Music Society. Throughout the year, we have many opportunities for you to sponsor or underwrite an event, artist or performance and payment plans are also available for memberships paid with cash.

How much does Business Society membership cost?

Tax-deductible Business Society memberships begin at $250 per year with advertising benefits beginning at $1500 per year. Member benefits are based on your level of support include the following:

· Recognition in La Jolla Music Society Program Book as a Business Society member

· Complimentary tickets to performances

· Discounted rates for placement in our SummerFest and WinterFest Gala Programs

Additional benefits may include:

· Complimentary advertising in La Jolla Music Society Program Book

· Listings with live links on the La Jolla Music Society website

· Invitations to Major Donor receptions and events

· Invitation to provide promotional materials in Box Office mailings
