Lecture by Peter G. Kalivas: Reinventing the Classics

Known for his playful interpretations of music and his contemporary reinventions of classic tales we will look at the artistic growth of Mark Morris from a young dancer to celebrated choreographer.

Dance for PD® Comes to San Diego April 27!

An on-going collaboration between the Mark Morris Dance Group and the Brooklyn Parkinson Group, the Dance for PD® program offers dance classes for people with Parkinson's Disease in Brooklyn, NY and, through a network of partners and associates in more than 75 other communities around the world.

In Dance for PD® classes, participants are empowered to explore movement and music in ways that are refreshing, enjoyable, stimulating and creative.

La Jolla Music Society and Malashock Dance present a Master Class with John Heginbotham, company member with Mark Morris Dance Group. John Heginbotham is a Juilliard graduate and a recipient of the Jerome Robbins Foundation's New Essential Works Fellowship Grant. A faculty member of the Mark Morris Dance Group and a founding teacher of Dance PD®, Mr. Heginbotham has taught at Princeton University, University of California in Berkeley, and The Laban Centre in London.
