Benjamin Roe presents the second lecture in his three part series on Chopin. This lecture, entitled, "Chopin and the Piano:
Performances, Party Tricks and Pedagogy" explores Chopin’s
relationship to the piano, traces his development from the early, extroverted
Warsaw years through his appearances in Parisian salons and, finally, to
solitary focus on the brilliant Etudes and Mazurkas that simultaneously served
as avenues to improving keyboard technique. Mr. Roe is the Creator and Executive Producer for the broadcast series Radio Chopin: 200 Stories for the 200th Anniversary of the Composer's Birth.
