Stewart Copeland‘s eclectic and highly successful musical career spans the realms of popular, film and classical music as both a performer and a composer. As a founder and drummer of The Police, the incomparable rock trio of the 1980s, Mr. Copeland has performed all over the world, won five Grammy Awards and sold more than 50 million records. Mr. Copeland‘s career as a composer of music for film and television was launched by his score for Francis Ford Coppola‘s “Rumblefish,” which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Score. Additional film and television music credits include Oliver Stone‘s “Wall Street,” “Desperate Housewives” and the Oscar-nominated “Four Days in September.” Current classical commissions include a Percussion Concerto for the Dallas Symphony in 2010.
