Ralph Kirshbaum, cello
The Los Angeles Times places Ralph Kirshbaum in “the highest echelon of today’s cellists”. He has appeared with some of the world's great orchestras, including the Boston and Chicago Symphony Orchestras, the San Francisco, BBC and London Symphonies, and the Los Angeles and Israel Philharmonics. Mr. Kirshbaum performs regularly at international festivals including Edinburgh, Verbier, Aspen, Santa Fe, Music@Menlo, Ravinia and New York's Mostly Mozart. In addition to his position as Thornton School of Music’s Piatigorsky Chair, he is the International Chair of Cello at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, and honorary president of the London Cello Society.
