Cellist Lynn Harrell’s presence is felt throughout the musical world. A consummate soloist, chamber musician, recitalist, conductor and teacher, his work throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia has placed him in the highest echelon of today’s performing artists. Mr. Harrell is a frequent guest of many leading orchestras including the Boston and Chicago Symphony Orchestras, the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the San Francisco Symphony. Over the course of his extensive career, Mr. Harrell has appeared at the Vatican with the Royal Philharmonic, appeared live at the Grammy® Awards with Itzhak Perlman and Pinchas Zukerman, and has received numerous awards including the first Avery Fisher Career Grant and two Grammy® Awards. Mr. Harrell plays a 1720 Montagnana cello.
