After nearly thirty-five years of success the world over, including many award-winning recordings and newly commissioned works, the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio continues to dazzle audiences and critics alike with their performances. Since making their debut at the White House for President Carter’s Inauguration in January 1977, they have set the standard for performance of the piano trio literature. As one of the only chamber ensembles with all its original members, the Trio balances the careers of three internationally-acclaimed soloists while making annual appearances at many of the world’s major concert halls, commissioning spectacular new works, and maintaining an active recording agenda.

Jaime Laredo, violin
Performing for over five decades before audiences across the globe, Jaime Laredo has excelled in the multiple roles of soloist, conductor, recitalist, pedagogue, and chamber musician. Since his stunning orchestral debut at the age of eleven with the San Francisco Symphony, he has won the admiration and respect of audiences, critics and fellow musicians with his passionate and polished performances. At the age of seventeen, Mr. Laredo won the prestigious Queen Elisabeth of Belgium Competition, launching his rise to international prominence.

Joseph Kalichstein, piano
Acclaimed for the heartfelt intensity and technical mastery of his playing, pianist Joseph Kalichstein enthralls audiences throughout the United States and Europe, winning equal praise as orchestral soloist, recitalist and chamber musician. Mr. Kalichstein has performed the Cleveland Orchestra, the Symphony orchestras of London, Boston, Chicago, St. Louis and Detroit and the Berlin, New York, Los Angeles and Israel Philharmonic Orchestras. He serves as the Chamber Music Advisor to the Kennedy Center and holds the inaugural Chamber Music Chair at The Juilliard School.
