Jason Ginter is the Principal Timpanist of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Ginter’s varied career includes solo performances with orchestra, appearances on recordings and authoring a book of exercises for percussionists. Mr. Ginter is a protégé of Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Principal Timpanist Timothy Adams, Jr., with whom he studied at Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Ginter is a Pearl/Adams Artist and uses Adams Dresden Classic Timpani.
