A prizewinner of the Tchaikovsky, Naumburg and Rostropovich
international competitions, and the recipient of an Avery Fisher Career
grant, Hai-Ye Ni is one of the most accomplished cellists of our time.
Currently Principal Cellist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, she has also
held the Associate Principal Cello position for the New York
Philharmonic. Ms. Ni's performances have been broadcast throughout the
United States on National Public Radio. She was featured on the ABC
television show "20/20" and on a PBS documentary of the Tchaikovsky
International Cello Competition in Moscow. Ms. Ni studied at the San
Francisco Conservatory of Music, the Juilliard School and with William
Pleeth in London.
