Alisa Weilerstein

A natural virtuoso hailed for expressive range, cellist Alisa Weilerstein is internationally renowned as one of the première soloists and chamber musicians of her generation. Ms. Weilerstein has been continually engaged as a soloist across the U.S. with symphonies including the LA Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony and the Cleveland Orchestra. Highlights of Ms. Weilerstein’s 2010-11 season included solo performances with the San Francisco Symphony, Tonhalle Orchestra, National Orchestra of Spain and Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Ms. Weilerstein performs regularly with her parents in the Weilerstein Trio, the Trio-in-Residence at the New England Conservatory. In 2008 she was awarded Lincoln Center’s Martin E. Segal prize for exceptional achievement and was the recipient of the 2006 Leonard Bernstein Award. Ms. Weilerstein holds a degree in russian history from Columbia University.
