Allegro Society Mission

To cultivate a group of young professionals as concert-goers, donors, civic leaders, and community ambassadors of the La Jolla Music Society.

The Allegro Society is an organization of young professionals from across the business and professional spectrum who are dedicated to the arts and the active support of the La Jolla Music Society. The society bring the next generation of arts patrons together at performances, special day-of-performance receptions, and "happy hour" style networking events.  The Allegro Society is an Ad Hoc Board Committee of La Jolla Music Society. The chair of the Allegro Society will serve as a voting member of La Jolla Music Society’s Board of Directors. 

WAYS TO JOIN THE ALLEGRO SOCIETY

Member Level

$250 per individual / $400 per couple, membership donation (fully tax-deductible)

• Opportunity to purchase a special $50 ticket to preferred Allegro Society Performances (see list above) & invitation to attend performance-related special events, including with the artists.
• Invitation to attend Allegro Society events, social events and featuring educational components led by the artistic and other leadership of LJMS (happy hours, Leadership Roundtables, Season Overview)
• Name listed in La Jolla Music Society printed Program Book
• Opportunities to network with members of the Board of Directors, donors and other young professionals who support La Jolla Music Society
• Email notification of special invitations or ticket offers to LJMS performances (as available)
• Eligiblity to serve on Allegro Society Executive Board (with potential opportunity to serve on LJMS Board of Directors as the Allegro Society liaison)

Associate Level

$75 per individual / $135 per couple, membership donation (fully tax-deductible)

• Opportunity to purchase a special $50 ticket to two preferred Allegro Society Performances (see list above) & invitation to attend performance-related special events, including with the artists
• Invitation to attend Allegro Society events, social events and featuring educational components led by the artistic and other leadership of LJMS (happy hours, Leadership Roundtables, Season Overview)
• Name listed in La Jolla Music Society printed Program Book
• Opportunities to network with members of the Board of Directors, donors, and other young professionals who support LJMS
• Email notification of special invitations or ticket offers to LJMS performances (as available)
• Other offers available only to Allegro Society members!

Responsibilities

Allegro Society members make a commitment to serve as an ambassador for La Jolla Music Society by attending the Allegro Society-designated performances, working with the board and staff to expand the audience, participating in three meetings each year, and assisting with fund-raising. 

Selection

Members must have a genuine interest in La Jolla Music Society’s contribution to the quality of life in San Diego, and be a working professional between 22 and 49 years old. Nominations for membership can be submitted to the Executive Committee of the Allegro Society by any member of the Allegro Society or the Board of Directors. The Executive Committee of the Allegro Society will review nominations; decisions will be made by majority vote.

Although a check payable to La Jolla Music Society is preferred, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit cards are accepted. Credit Card payments can be split into monthly payments. (All financial obligations must by paid-in-full by May 1, 2012).
